It drains batteries in less than a month.

It drains batteries in less than a month.
I got this on October 7th. I had to buy a new battery today, October 15th. I hope the new battery lasts longer. This is a great tracker for me, the wrist ones do not work for me because I lean on the carts at stores, I use a cane and I do not move my arm much when walking. This clips on to my pants or goes in my pocket and I get an accurate step count. An update on my tracker. I am getting the low battery again on October 21st. I think I am going to have to find something else. I would not reccomend this product!

Enjoyed using this tracker. Unfortunately, I forgot it was in my pocket. Does not survive a cycle in the washing machine!

I really like the Fitbit zip. It does just what it says and helps me keep track of my steps per day. Using the Fitbit app I can set goals which is an added motivator. I like that I can hook it on my clothing and don't have to wear it around my wrist all day.
The only issue I have is the battery runs out pretty quick depending on how often you check it but that's also part of the fun so the battery is an issue and an added expense to keep it running so I gave 4 stars instead of 5

I like the Fitbit, but the clip broke after less than 5 weeks of daily wear. I wore it on my bra, simply because I'd lost a Fitbit on my hip. So it was in a protected area, not getting bumped into doors and such. The end of the clip cracked and then broke off. Without the clip end, there are two rounded pieces of exposed metal. While it can still clip on, it's uncomfortable to open it enough to clip it onto clothing.

I've returned it.

An additional minor complaint is that while it's a touch screen, many times I had to tap it multiple times to wake it up to see stats.

The Fitbit Zip works beautifully. Tracks steps, calories burned, food intake. Does all I wanted it to do.

I bought this in early October of 2019, and it died in August of 2020. For what I spent on it, I expected a much longer life. Very disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!

Honestly, this is exactly what I was looking for. Just note, I didn't really want a lot of features so I won't be reviewing all the features of the product. But I'll just mention some of the things I love:

1. It's really simple to use and I love the app appearance.
2. Works on a battery so I won't have to recharge. One of the reasons I bought it since I mainly want it for a trip I'm going on, where I want to be able to track my steps but not have to worry about recharging.
3. I read somewhere that if it doesn't sync every day, the device still stores up to 23-30 days of data. It just won't be that detailed. Which is fine by me, especially since I'm going on the trip where I won't have access to Wi-Fi for 30 days. It works out perfectly.
4. At first I didn't like the fact that it wasn't on a wristband, but the clip on this is so secure, I just put it on a necklace I always have on and it works perfectly. I actually bought a wristband separately and I found that it didn't measure the steps as accurately as when it's on the necklace.
5. Does not count steps when I'm in vehicle which is another bonus point in the accuracy category. Yay!

I think this would be great for anyone who just wants a GOOD, simple step counter. Hope this review helps....I hardly ever review, but I found the fitbit zip to be such a worthwhile purchase, I had to share my opinion. Good luck! Hope you guys like the product as much as I did!

I will begin by stating that this Fitbit Tracker series is an amazing product. I quickly got used to having it on all of the time. It is also a good inspiration to do more physical activity each day. Also it encouraged me to do more stair walking. I was constantly checking my progress throughout each day.
Having had a wrist fitbit before, I have to say that I MUCH PREFER the wristband to the clip-on style. The Clip is too easy to misplace, harder to read, and more difficult to have with you or on you all of the time.
I wish I had gotten the wrist style again rather than the clip-on.
A wonderful product for any adult to own.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love It!

I decided to purchase this as I was looking for some kind of motivation to keep moving and being able to track what I had done in the day. I have had other pedomiters but found them not to very accurate. An aunt has a fitbit and really likes it so I decided to give it a go. Since I have purchased the Fitbit it is the first thing I put on in the morning and the last I take off. 10 000 steps is no longer good enough and I challenge myself to do more.
The one thing I would find beneficial would be for it to be waterproof for at least a few metres so it can be used while doing some aquatic activities.

4.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding unit - great website,

Outstanding !! I am very very pleased with the fitbit unit. It functions as said and the website is super with automatic weekly progress reports etc. Sync with pc is fast and no problems. I would recomend it to anyone that wants a basic device.
Unfortunatly I continually am having difficulty with logging on with my android device. it somehow has some kind of time zone tracking in it and it continually asks to correct timezone and it always ,everytime, doesnt recognize my password and I dont want to change it everytime so now I avoid using it eventhogh that was a drawing feature for me. That may just be my device unsure, but I will be getting a different model with more features soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars keeps me moving
Reviewed in Canada on July 29, 2019
This is my second fit bit zip. I lost the first one after having it two years. I just use it to track my steps each day. I put it on in the morning and wear it all day and record my steps at night. Since using the fitbit zip two years ago I usually get 7 to 10 thousand steps each day. I know that if I dont keep moving I wont have a good report for my log each night. You can use the online version of this tracker but thats not the way i do it. Hope this helps someone else. I have lost a few pounds since owning this but I wasnt overweight in the beginning but my weight is staying the same.
