Sammons Preston Foam Therapy Rolls are lightweight cylindrical rollers that can be used for a number of different exercises that include muscular and neural flexibility and strengthening. My husband is 80 and has hard time getting up land down on the floor. My daughter's Chiropractor told them about this product and I ordered it as it is flat on oneside. I thought it would stay put easier for him to get on and off. Well he still had trouble and my daughter said told him to try it on the bed as one of her friends can't get down on the floor and they were using it on the bed. So he tried that and it works really well there for him. It helps him stand straighter after working outside all day.

I wonder if the reviews that said this was soft may have been for a different product. I ordered the 12" long so it wouldn't take up so much room. I can control the amount of pressure by lifting up off the roller. Not quite as good as a massage, but still plenty of pressure. My physical therapist recommends use before bedtime.
