Poor excuse for a 'valve' and zero instructions

Poor excuse for a 'valve' and zero instructions
My Dyna Disc arrived today. It was recommended by my Mom's physical therapist for her to sit on while in a share and do some movements to strengthen her core. I haven't had my Mom sit on it yet, so don't know if it will hold the air. I hope so because it's great at therapy. The thing that already makes this a 3-star is the "valve" where you pump it up. Mine came completely deflated and at first I couldn't even find the 'valve'. I expected the valve to look like something you see on a ball. This one was just a hole in the plastic. So my first attempt missed the actual valve and nothing happened. I had read in the questions that it would hold the air. I could feel something in the hole area and when I moved it a little, there is something inside that is grey and has a little hole. So while trying to hold that in place, I stuck the needle in and it has inflated and seems to hold the air. As I said, the test will come when my Mom actually uses it. This pathetic 'valve' makes me cautious about using it. It just seems poorly made. I'm going to check her therapist's version and look at the valve on that one.I would also think there should be a paper with it to give suggestions for how to use it, info on the valve automatically sealing and how to let out air if you want.

My physical therapist recommended I purchase a set of these to help me with my balance problems. I was using them at therapy twice a week and when they arrived I started using them every day. They came with no instructions, however, I knew what I was suppose to do with them and how to use them already. I am no longer in therapy, but continue to use them at least 3-5 times a week. Not only have them helped with my balance problems, they have helped with low back problems too. If you are not sure how to use them, instructions can be found on line and on YouTube.

I discovered this item from a fellow quilter when I saw the picture in her studio. After asking her what it was (she highly recommended it as well), I ordered one and am so happy I did--actually, I ordered a second one for work! I find two uses for this item: 1) sitting on it to help keep my posture correct and engage my core, 2) placing it upright provides additional support for my back, once again helping me to sit correctly. I had to add a bit of air upon reccipt to my first one as it was a little low, but I would highly recommend this product and have to my fellow workers. Two of them have already ordered them!

The pump supplied with the Dyna Disc was useless. I had to resort to my bicycle pump. Upon my attempt to fill the product with air, the product's valve leaked. The return policy is overly restrictive such that the cost and hassle of returning was not worth the effort. I threw out the device. Save your money. Do not buy this product.

I made a significant effort to get this instead of a cheaper look-alike. I bought two. One was a factory reject. The air valve is a disintegrating blob of white rubber or vinyl or whatever. Air can go in but cannot exit. Every attempt to adjust amount of inflation results in liquid rubber in the inflation pin making it useless. It seems only a matter of time before it can no longer keep air in the cushion and becomes a total waste of money. They is is the first and only disappointing Amazon purchase. And because we are continually traveling, a return or a claim is unviable. So we are quite screwed on this purchase. The OTHER Dyna Disc works fine but 1 out of 2 is unsatisfactory. Future Amazon purchases will certainly be affected by this bad deal.

Nerve damage in a leg makes sitting for any length of time painful. I use an exercise ball as chair at my desk, but suffered in other chairs. I find the balance cushion a perfect substitute. I take it to meetings, on airplanes, and everywhere I know I'll be sitting for long periods of time. It was recommended by a physical therapist and I love it!

We are using these as balance cushions for our daughter who is recovering from a broken leg (& has highly flexible joints), & so far they seem to be of value as they are helping her to gain strength. We ordered two of these & the one seems to leak a little air though.
