I am happy with the ProForm bike! It meets my expectations, is well made and sturdy. I'm a lady in my 60's hoping to get my aerobic workout in addition to an upper body workout in my home! It was fairly easy to assemble but luckily I was able to rely on a male family member to do that. You do need a second person along the way to help hold parts in place. An important thing to me is a comfortable seat which this unit has and shouldn't need to be replaced as some units might! A savings there!!! I'm only a week into using it but you work at your own pace and it's definitely a good workout as the user does the work!!! The console has large read outs which allows you to see your speed, time used, miles traveled, calories used and gives you a heart rate reading. For the price, I am very happy!!!

I recently completed a six week pulmonary rehab program that involved a number of different exercise machine. The medical staff pointed out the best to have at home was an indood exercise bike. After an extensive comparions among the different makes, I decided on the Pro-Form Whirlwind 320 Exercise Bike. On arrival it took me only about 45 minutes to put it together by myself. The instructions were really good and easy to follow. I use the bike 5 days a week, and I feel great. My breathing has greatly improved since I began the exercises. would highly recomment this exercise bike.

This bike has a major design flaw that leaves it useless for our use. My husband needed to put the seat quite high for his long legs and unfortunately was not able to clear the heart rate monitor handle bars with his knees! The description of the bike warns that it can't be used by people weighing over 250 lbs but doesn't say anything about height restrictions. We called Proform for a solution but they didn't really care about our predicament. As a matter of fact the representative said it was an 'old' model and really wasn't bothered. He suggested trying to get a refund at point of sale. We decided that taking the bike apart, trying to get it back in the original box and returning it only to get about 50% of the purchase price was not an option. We are planning to take the drastic measure of cutting the heart rate monitor handlebars off the bike with a hacksaw. We hope that solves our main problem.
There are several other problems with this bike. The main post holding the console should take 3 screws at the base but it was impossible to line up the holes and so we could only attach by 2 screws. Also the belt is set at the tightest setting so you have to take the fan covers off and adjust it which takes a long time. We broke one of the plastic covers because it didn't say how to take them off in the instruction manual.
By the time we get the bike working it will probably look like something we dug out of the tip. It is advisable to have an adjustable wrench and socket set available for assembly. There were two wrenches included but they didn't fit anything. I'm off to the hardware store to buy a hacksaw! I will try to give an update once we have accomplished the mission.

good exercise bike. only thing i dont like about it is the seat. its hard and my bottom goes to sleep after about 20 mins in. had to purchase a gel seat cushion to make it bearable. Also the center console needs large batteries (C or D) to operate. It can be powered with a wallwart power supply, but it is not included. But i dont really use it anyways.

It is a good bicycle the problem though was assembly.the bushing part was way too small for the Handle bar axle to fit into.We had to scrape off a layer around the bar which was a tedious thing to do.I think when things are fabricated in China that is what happens.Apart from the assembly, the rest is fine and it works well and I am getting a good workout.

Belt is set at the tightest setting at the factory, no where does it really tell you that you need to adjust it. Then adjusting it is a real challenge and you need a metric wrench to do it. All types of tools come with it but that wrench.
