Check out the most popular review: "I owed a number of BodyBlades (different sizes) years before I tried the Total Bar. While they both work on the same principles, they get there a little differently in my opinion. BodyBlade: It is heavier than the TotalBar and since the natural frequency of vibration is less than the TotalBar it has more range of motion. This makes it more forgiving for a beginner who can vary the frequency much easier with the BodyBlade. I can get an aerobic and/or an anaerobic workout with the BodyBlade. It can be somewhat of a relaxing workout. I can workout with these for minutes at a time. Total Bar: At 270 cycles per minute, this thing cranks. This is one fast anaerobic (interval) workout. If you don't use this at its natural frequency it just doesn't feel like a workout at all. Use it at a fast frequency or don't use it. I generally can't last a minute on any of the exercises. Heartrate skyrockets with this thing. It is a third the cost or better than the BodyBlade Pro. Bottom Line: Both BodyBlade and Total Bar can be reasonable strength workouts with the edge going to Total Bar for strength, especially for good interval workouts. I've been unable to use Total Bar for a traditional aerobic workout though interval work can be used to gain aerobic fitness. I've used BodyBlade for aerobic workouts and it provides a less intense warm up exercise. If you're a beginner and can afford the BodyBlade, it is probably your best choice. If you want to generate lactic acid fast, get a Total Bar. Both brands seem well made to me and have lasted years in the case of BodyBlade and months for the newer Total Bar." -Dogfather
