Sportime turtle dome is used for strengthening core muscles and physical exercises, and is molded to duplicate the top third of a 95.0cm therapy ball. The dome’s usable surface extends to the floor, with textured side surfaces to provide traction and balance, and a smooth surface on top for unimpeded directional shifts. The surface is also divided into four numbered quadrants for directed-movement exercises. The dome has a large plug-valve underneath, plus a smaller athletic needle fine-tuning valve on top for fast and accurate inflation, and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic-incased, steel-cable handgrip for transport and hanging up for storage. PVC plastic is corrosion resistant and lightweight, and has high strength. It resists reactions with acids, gasoline, alcohol, and hydrocarbons. Steel is a good general purpose material, and has better weldability and increased rust resistance over wrought iron. When turned over, the dome can be used for pushup exercises. The dome has a bumper to prevent marring to floors, with a concave-shaped base that works with the bumper to create a suction cup-like grip to the floor. The dome measures 65.0cm in diameter and 24.0cm (H). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point.)
